Sabq Sponsors First Nonprofit Digital Transformation Forum, Drawing Over 1,000 Participants and 30 Organizations
The first-ever Nonprofit Sector Digital Transformation Forum wrapped up yesterday with over 1,000 participants and 30 organizations in attendance, under the theme “Leading Transformation to Create Impact.” Hosted over two days, the forum was sponsored by “Sabq” as the official media partner, offering a unique platform for exchanging ideas on the future of digitalization in the nonprofit sector.
Held on October 22-23, the forum featured a series of panel discussions, advisory sessions, and interactive workshops. Participants from government, private sector, nonprofit organizations, and research institutions engaged in discussions on topics such as digital culture, transformation strategies, automation, data management, and sustainability in digital innovation.
The forum’s second day highlighted the sector’s digital future, with sessions on digital service delivery and AI’s role in program development. Attendees also explored digital service advancements, sustainability, and collaborative data management strategies.
An accompanying exhibition showcased products and services from various organizations, along with expert consultations through a roundtable event, “Employing Artificial Intelligence in Program Development.” Panel topics included “Scientific Chairs and Digital Transformation,” partnerships with official transformation bodies, and integrated databases for nonprofit organizations.
Workshops further delved into sector-specific strategies, including a unified database initiative and approaches to sector-wide digital transformation. The forum culminated in the announcement of winners in a digital hackathon, with prizes totaling SAR 50,000. The “Sentiment Analysis via Text Conversations” project took first place, followed by “Dialogue Bot” and “Mysir.” Twelve teams participated in the hackathon, which was preceded by virtual workshops to prepare teams for innovation and collaboration.
Organized by the Ertiqa Association and the Eastern Region Council of Charitable Associations, the forum reflects both organizations’ commitment to promoting impactful events, enhancing digital awareness, and accelerating the nonprofit sector’s digital transformation journey.
