Towards exemplary and sustainable mosques An international competition for mosque design in Dammam
An international architectural competition was announced today for the design of two local mosques in Dammam, managed by Abdullatif Al Fozan Award for Mosque Architecture, which deals with the development of mosques in the Kingdom and the world, in partnership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and in cooperation with the Eastern Province Municipality.
This competition was launched to motivate architects towards enriching the urban environment with innovative designs that elevate the architecture of local mosques. The design should take into account the use of eco-friendly materials as part of the design in addition to the building’s future maintenance and operating costs.
