Eastern Province Municipality concludes agreement to develop and improve roads adjacent to Avenues Al Khobar project
On Wednesday, 7 Ramadan 1444 AH, the Eastern phad concluded an MOU with Shomoul Holding, aimed at developing the roads adjacent to the Avenues project in Khobar governorate, as part of its efforts to improve the services provided through partnership with the relevant authorities.
Eastern Province Municipality was represented by His Excellency, Mayor of the Eastern Province, Eng. the Fahad bin Mohammed Al-Jubeir, and the Shomoul Holding, Acting CEO, Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Muqbil.
The MOU signed at the Municipality headquarters aims to develop the road network surrounding the Avenues-Al Khobar project located on the northwest corner of the intersection of King Saud Road with Prince Sultan Road, Improving the roads surrounding the project and raising the quality and efficiency of the infrastructure, in order to raise the quality of the roads of Dammam's metropolitan area; Enhancing its beauty, which in turn contributes to the achievement of the efforts of cities humanization and aims to strengthen the role of the private sector in providing services and making government assets available to it, which in turn improves the quality of the services provided and contributes to reducing their cost as well as stimulates economic diversification and enables ambitious firms to increase their overall contribution to the National economy.
Avenues Al Khobar project, which is considered as one of the most important projects in the Eastern Region, was built based on a distinctive architectural style that reflects the beauty of the Eastern Region and its urban legacy. It applies sustainable environmental standards that in turn emulate the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
The Avenues-Al Khobar will also make a qualitative shift in the quality of shopping and leisure for residents and visitors of the Eastern Region, spanning a total construction area exceeding 696,000 m2, and will include 8 diverse shopping areas and premium restaurants, towers including international hotels, apartment and office space, medical clinics, and halls for events and exhibitions, with a total leasable area of 175,000 m2.
