Agreement between Al-Fozan Holding Company and Riyadh Municipality

Believing in the importance of empowering private sector companies with community contributions in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region, sponsored in his office at The Palace of Government, the signing of a cooperation agreement between Riyadh Municipality and Al-Fozan Holding Company represented by Al-Fozan Social Foundation on Sunday 20/12/2020 corresponding to 5/5/1442 AH, which aims to develop one of the sites in the city of Riyadh, which is the intersection of the Northern Ring Road on Takhassusi Street, with a location of 16,552 meters, as a qualitative initiative to be added to the Capital’s landmarks. This is achieved through the implementation of one of the winning designs in Mujassam Watan competition which aims to improve urban planning, the quality of urban landscape and the visual beauty, in addition to promoting art and culture in cities, stimulating creativity and national belonging. It is supervised by Al-Fozan Social Foundation and signed by His Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of Riyadh, and Mr. Fozan Al-Fozan, Vice-Chairman of Al Fozan Holding Company. His Highness, the Governor of Riyadh Region, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the private sector and businessmen for their contributions, indicating that community contributions please everyone through the complementary role between the public and private sectors in quality initiatives.

His Highness, the Governor of Riyadh Region, looked forward to the projects’ success in terms of completion and establishment, in accordance to the desire of everyone in many fields.

It is worth mentioning that Mujassam Watan Competition was launched in 2019 and is an initiative by Al-Fozan Social Foundation. It is an annual national award that attracts competitive works to be embodied as an actual structure on the National Day every year. Mujassam Watan initiative manages the competition according to criteria for selecting the designs, studying their application from an engineering standpoint, choosing sponsors and supporters from the private sector, and studying implementation contracts and the competence of contractors. It also works in partnership with relevant municipalities to identify appropriate sites, issue the necessary licenses, and provide support processes for implementing and managing the projects.
