The Abdullah Al-Fozan Foundation for Education is organizing several specialized workshops aimed at making a significant impact in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and fostering a generation that contributes to building human civilization. The foundation continues its efforts to attract young scientists by organizing multiple virtual workshops designed to inspire creative students and clarify the application process for the UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize.

These workshops also explain the nomination procedure, noting that nominations are submitted by universities and UNESCO-accredited entities based on established criteria. Individuals without a nominating body can contact the National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science.

The foundation has conducted several workshops targeted at universities and stakeholders, in collaboration with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (“Mawhiba”), the National Commission for Education, Culture, and Science, the Science Sector of UNESCO, and the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority. Additionally, a virtual workshop dedicated to Arab universities has been held to explore new horizons for developing scientific research and enhancing global impact.

The prize participated in the Inventors’ Meeting Programme for candidates of the Geneva International Exhibition 2025 at the King Salman Science Oasis, presenting a workshop titled “Celebrating Excellence.” This meeting aims to raise awareness among inventors about national priorities in research, development, and innovation, and methods to transform their inventions into successful entrepreneurial projects.

It is noteworthy that applications for the prize close in mid-April, with winners to be announced in the fourth quarter of 2025 in Paris, France.

The UNESCO-Al Fozan International Prize was established by the Abdullah Al-Fozan Foundation for Education in collaboration with UNESCO. It aims to encourage young scientists in the STEM fields by promoting research, education, and international cooperation to address global challenges, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. The prize honors young scientists whose work contributes to global social and economic advancement and encourages increased

interest in science, particularly among women and girls, to promote gender equality and enhance scientific professions.
