Developing Non-Profit organizations leaders
Established in 2015 with the objective of developing leaders and managers for non-profit institutions through a collaboration between King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and Al Fozan Social Foundation program. The Academy empowers leaders in the third sector to enhance their impact by creating, designing, and implementing programs for professional excellence.
Academy Programs
• Edama is An exemplary community development initiative based on global best practices; this is the first standard devised within the non-profit sector in the Kingdom. It stands as the inaugural standard officially endorsed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Additionally, it holds the distinction of being the first Arab standard for volunteering.. Several programs have been implemented in the Academy through this standard, including:
• Ra'ed to qualify young community leaders at universities.
• Rashed to qualify educational leaders to manage school volunteering.
• Moeen to organize volunteering for private sector employees in the community.
The Academy has attained remarkable achievements and fostered impactful partnerships with renowned entities, including Aramco, the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the National Center for Non-profit Sector Development, and Ithra (King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture) The Academy has signed several academic collaboration agreements with prestigious international universities, such as:
• Cass Business School in London
• Lilly School of Philanthropy at Indiana University
• Lodestar Center at Arizona State University
• Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
Notably, the Academy has received academic accreditation from NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy)
